Colin and I have discussed the need for funding to pay for the running costs of this site - the monthly subscription etc. The discussion ranged from seeking funds from potential interest groups that might want a DD online forum to further their own agendas but also the discussion went to 'crowd sourced funding' I favor the Crowd sourced idea Lets discuss
- a more neutral source of funding in my opinion that will defeat any criticism of who is backing this Forum idea and negative influence from lobbyists and larger non democratic groups. Crowd sourced funding fits perfectly with the DD concept , devolved power / devolved parallel financial structure. A further extension of this is that we will at some stage publish our accounts , again to deflect criticism , suspicion of our agenda Transparency - is a must!
